Blood Tests
We offer almost all blood tests in our private GP clinics in Reading and Henley-on-Thames.
Tests taken during a consultation
Your doctor may recommend that you have blood tests to help with diagnosis and treatment planning. Before carrying out any tests, the doctor will explain why they think they are necessary and the costs involved. Your results will be sent to you, usually within a few days, along with the doctor's interpretation of the results which will explain what they mean.
Tests without a consultation
If you require a blood test without having a consultation with one of our doctors (perhaps because you have been asked by another clinician to have a particular test), we can do this. However, please note:
- The doctor will not be able to advise which blood test to have.
- The doctor will not interpret the results (i.e. they will not explain what they mean).
- You will need to pay for the appointment fee in addition to the cost of the tests.
