Location & Parking

Exact location: If you are walking down Hart Street towards the river and St. Mary's church, we are on the right-hand side just after Berries Coffee Shop. We are through an alley-way next to Ballards Estate Agents.
Physical Accessibility Statement
We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive service to all patients. We recognise that our premises may present some physical access limitations, and we encourage patients to contact us in advance so we can make any reasonable adjustments possible.
Parking
We do not have on-site parking. The nearest public parking is available on Hart Street and in nearby town centre car parks.
Getting to the Clinic
Our clinic is located off the main street, accessed via a step-free, level-surfaced alleyway. The entrance doorway has a raised threshold of approximately 10mm.
Entrance and Internal Access
The entrance doorway is 75cm wide.
The consulting room on the ground floor has a doorway that is 68cm wide, which may not accommodate all types of wheelchairs or mobility aids.
We have one consulting room on the ground floor and two consulting rooms on the first floor (accessible only by stairs). If you require a ground floor consultation, please let us know at the time of booking so we can accommodate your needs.
Toilet Facilities
There is a toilet available on the ground floor; however, it is not a wheelchair-accessible toilet and does not have grab rails or other accessible adaptations.
Support and Adjustments
Seating is available in the waiting area.
Our staff receive disability awareness training and are happy to assist with any access needs.
We welcome assistance dogs (but no other animals, to maintain hygiene standards).
We are happy to discuss any additional requirements you may have, including those related to sensory impairments.
Limitations and Reasonable Adjustments
Due to the age and layout of our building, some structural modifications, such as widening doorways, are not possible. However, we will always do our best to accommodate individual needs within the constraints of the building.
If you have any access requirements or would like to discuss your visit in advance, please contact us by phone or email. We are happy to talk through how we can best support your access.
Information and Communication Needs
Accessible Information Standard
Our aim is to ensure that people who have a disability, impairment or sensory loss, receive information that they can access and understand. If you have an information or communication need, please let us know.

Translation support
If you need support in a language other than English, please let us know in advance. We can use free digital tools (such as Google Translate) during consultations or we can organise for a professional translator to join the consultation by phone - the cost of this service will be paid by the patient. Patients may also bring someone with them to help translate.
