Vaccination is one of the best ways to protect your baby against serious infectious diseases. Most families choose to have their baby's vaccinations through the NHS, following the routine childhood immunisation schedule.

Are private baby vaccinations the same as the NHS?
Yes. In almost all cases, the vaccines we provide are the same as those used by the NHS.
There are a small number of combination vaccines that are supplied only to the NHS. In these cases, we provide the same protection by giving the equivalent vaccines separately.
The NHS 6-in-1 vaccine
The NHS uses either Infanrix Hexa or Vaxelis, which protect against six diseases in a single injection. These vaccines are generally only available through the NHS.
Privately, we provide the same protection using both of the following vaccines:
Infanrix IPV+Hib (5-in-1) – protects against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis), polio and Hib.
Engerix Paed – protects against hepatitis B.
MMR and Chickenpox
The combined MMR and chickenpox vaccines (Priorix Tetra and ProQuad) are also generally only available through the NHS.
Privately, we provide the same protection using both of the following vaccines:
MMR vaccine (Priorix or MMRvaxPRO).
Chickenpox vaccine (Varivax or Varilrix).
Can my child have some vaccines on the NHS and some privately?
Yes. We can update your child’s red book and inform their NHS GP so your child's NHS records are complete.
