The NHS guidance states that if you're away from home, for example on holiday, and need to see a GP, you can contact any NHS GP surgery nearby and receive emergency treatment for up to 14 days. In cases that are less urgent, accessing an NHS GP away from home can be difficult.
As a private GP clinic, we are able to see anyone, regardless of where they live. We usually have same day or next day appointments so you can see a doctor quickly.
We can give you your consultation notes so you can share them with your regular doctor. With your consent, we can also share your consultation notes directly with your NHS GP.
What if I have private healthcare?
Some health insurers cover private GP appointments, especially those based outside the UK.
If you are covered, you will need to arrange a reimbursement agreement ( 'pay and claim' ) with your insurer as we are unable to claim our fees directly from insurers. This means that you need to pay us for your appointment and any other costs incurred, and then claim reimbursement of those costs from your insurer.
